Saranda forest

Panchalingeswar

Panchalingeswar is a place 32 km from Balasore on a hilltop surrounded with the beauty of the woods under  the Devgiri range of Nilgiri Hills. This is a unique place where one can find five Shiva lingas. Nilgiri kings found those lingas long ago. Panchalingeswar is actually a part of the Kuldiha forest. Kuldiha is called an Elephant Sanctuary. Many animals, including elephants, bison, bears, deers and panthers are found in this forest.74 KM away from Panchalingeswar- Devkund is one of the Famous Water Falls in Orissa.

Shantiniketan

Shantiniketan is located at  164 km form Calcutta. It’s a small town at Bolpurin Bhirvum district. In the middle of 19th century, Maharshi Debaendranath tagore found the serenity in this barren land. In the year 1901 Rabindranath Tagore established an experimental school at Shantiniketan, he originally named as Bramha Chariya Ashram. Now Shantiniketan has become major tourist attraction of its association & activities with Rabidranath Tagore. Ofcouse the natural charm of Shantiniketan is a major draw in itself. Basanta Utsab & Poushmela are special attraction of this place.

Tarapith

Tarapith is a small town near  Rampurhat at Birbhum district. Its a religious place for Tantrik rituals where sadhana are performed. Tarapith is also famous for SadhaK Bamakhapa  who dedicated his entire life to the worship of MAA TARA. Places to visit Tarapith Temple, Maha Sashan, Bamakhapa Temple etc.

Baranti

Baranti is a developing tourist center under Raghunathpur subdivision in Purulia district in the Indian state of West Bengal located in the lap of a Gorongi Hill. This small tribal village is surrounded by the Panchkot Hill at one side and the Biharinath Hill on the other, with a water reservoir named Muradi Lake under Ramchandrapur Medium Irrigation Project. This area is popular for hill and jungle trekking due to its natural beauty. Garh Panchkot is only 12 km away, and the famous Joychandi Pahar just 21 km away from Baranti. Biharinath, the Araku Valley of Bengal is just 18 km from Baranti.

Garpanchakot

Garpanchakot is located at Purulia district at foot hills of Panchet hills. This place is name by the ruins of Panchakot palce, which is still present there one can have a small trek to the ruined palace. It’s a perfect destination for those who wants to spend at peaceful & relaxed weekend .

Purulia

So many historical attractions are attached with this place. Some of the attraction are Hazar Duari palace, katra Maszid, Imambara, Motijhil, Katghola palace etc .

Bishnupur

Bishnupur is a Municipal Town & subdivision of Bankura District in the state of West Bengal, India is famous for its terracotta temples built during the ruling period of Malla kings, who ruled over the area prior to the arrival of the British. Please note that Archaeological Survay of India (ASI) maintains most of the sites of Bishnupur. So it levies a minimum entry fee for the sites by a single ticket by which  one can visit all the sites of Bishnupur maintained by ASI. The counter is located near the entrance of Rash Mancha. So it is better to start from Rash Mancha. Other than temples this place is famous for its Baluchari Sharees.

Sundarbans

Sundarbans National Park is a large coastal mangrove forest, shared by India and Bangladesh. The area is home to the Royal Bengal Tiger, It was declared a UNESCO World Heritage in 1987 and the Sundarbans region as a whole was declared a Biosphere Reserve in 1989.

Chandipur

Chandipur is located at 16 Km East of Balasore – is one of the finest Beach of Orissa, which is also known as Vanishing Sea Beach. Watching the Sea is Vanished right in front of your Eyes & then observing its return is a very rare site.

Dimond Harbor
